Fixed-Wing UAV Surveys Undertaken at Morlais

Juno Energy has initiated a programme of fixed-wing UAV surveys to capture seabird and marine mammal distribution across the Morlais Demonstration Zone with Bangor University.

Surveys were undertaken across multiple seasonal windows, using structured transects to generate high-resolution imagery for density estimation. The approach enabled repeatable, wide-area coverage to support environmental assessment and monitoring.

The work forms part of an ongoing programme to improve the evidence base for tidal energy development.
